Get out those running shoes and mark your calendar for a great day seaside at the dog-friendly Pier Village to benefit animal charity!
The Purr’n Pooch Foundation for Animals awards annual grants to non-profit, no-kill animal welfare organizations to be used for day-to-day operations, emergency relief, spay/neuter efforts, veterinary care, equipment, construction, vehicle purchases, educational programs and special projects.
RACE DETAILS
- $30 per runner/walker, pre-registered
- $35 on race day
- All dogs are required to run or walk on leash
- One dog per handler/runner please
- Race is rain or shine
EVENT SCHEDULE
- 6:30 – 7:45 a.m. Packet pick up on boardwalk of Festival Plaza at Pier Village, Long Branch and same day registration
- 7:50 a.m. Welcome speeches and pre-race instructions
- 8:00 a.m. Race begins
- 9:30 a.m. Awards presented
AWARDS
- 1st Overall Male and Female Runner
- 1st, 2nd, 3rd Overall Male Runner/K9 Team
- 1st, 2nd, 3rd Overall Female Runner/K9 Team
GENERAL INFORMATION
- Course is flat along the boardwalk, out and back
- Course closed to motor vehicles
- Two water station set-ups
- Tee shirts given to pre-registered runners and are subject to availability for same day registrants
- Race event bags to all
- Post race bagels and refreshments
- Professional chip-timed course
- Meter parking available
