In the 1970s, Dick Palazzo, President and CEO of Purr’n Pooch, introduced the revolutionary practice of socialization to his clients. Today, thanks to Dick’s groundbreaking practices, PNP’s pets enjoy life and learning by leaps and bounds. Purr’n Pooch continues to lead the pack in innovative pet care by inviting some of the world’s most widely respected names in veterinary medicine, nutrition, holistic health, science and animal behavior to share tips, techniques and resources with our clients.
In past years, speakers have included:
Nicholas H. Dodman, BVMS, MRCVS, DACVB, Professor, Section Head and Program Director, Animal Behavior Department of Clinical Sciences Tufts’ Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Dodman is one of the world’s most celebrated veterinary behaviorists and author of four acclaimed bestselling books as well as two textbooks and more than 100 articles and contributions to scientific books and journals. He also holds 10 US Patents for various inventions related to the control of animal behavior.
Brian T. Voynick, D.V.M., C.V.A., owner and director of the American Animal Hospital in Randolph, NJ. Dr. Voynick’s fields of interest are in diagnostics medicine, endoscopy and alternative medicine. He is a renowned certified veterinary acupuncturist with a special interest in Chinese herbal medicine. He has served as chairman of the New Jersey Veterinary Medical Association Ethics and Grievance Committee as well as president of the Randolph Area Chamber of Commerce. Dr. Voynick enjoys hosting The Pet Stop on News 12 New Jersey, which features stories about pet health care, with special guests from all parts of the animal kingdom, local shelters, and charity organizations.
Tracie Hotchner, Author and Radio Show Host. Tracie brought the keen eye of her background as an investigative reporter to every aspect of living with a dog, resulting in THE DOG BIBLE: Everything Your Dog Wants You to Know and  THE CAT BIBLE: Everything Your Cat Expects You to Know. Her encyclopedic books cover everything from medical issues to training, nutrition and problem solving, winning the hearts and minds of people whose dogs are their family members. Tracie also has two weekly live radio programs, CAT CHAT® (Wednesday nights on the Martha Stewart channel of SiriusXM satellite radio) and DOG TALK® on WOR. In addition to her two radio shows, Tracie travels across the country giving talks on nutrition to pet lovers (“You’re Feeding Your Pet What?!).
